Five years ago I went to a Women of Faith conference and that was were I first saw a wonderful lady named Nicole Johnson.  This is a very touching and encouraging skit of hers.  We are always in need of a reminder that the things we do to serve others no matter how great or small we do it for the Lord. Click on the link below and then go check out her website at http://www.freshbrewedlife.com/

We are moving this Saturday.  I am so sad to leave this house I love it!!!  So I decided to share it with you.  Even though most of my things including some furniture are packed away in the garage.

I just realized My Bedroom isn't on my camera.  I will show it another time. My other daughter was napping during my picture taking time so I also don't have a picture of that room either.
So all my cookbooks are packed, which makes dinner a little boring.  On Thursday night my boys wanted hot dogs and My daughter wanted spaghetti.  So I decided to get a little creative and came up with a more grown up family dinner friendly version of spaghettios.

It is ssoooooo easy.  I cooked whole wheat pasta like normal, cut up some all beef franks, took a jar of plain sauce added the hot dogs, some chopped onion, garlic, basil, oregano, parsely, salt and pepper.  Add or subtract whatever you would like.  It took 20 min from start to finish and was actually pretty good!

Bust through fat myths!

Myth: Some foods, like grapefruit, celery and cabbage, will actually make you burn fat.

Fact: “You can’t chew celery twice and lose 100 calories when the celery has 10 calories,” says Liz Applegate, Ph.D., director of sports nutrition at the University of California. There’s no real evidence that this works.

Myth: You can eat whatever you want, as long as you create a caloric deficit.

Fact: “You can have 150 calories of white rice or 150 calories of brown rice, but the brown rice is more nutrient-rich and has more fiber,” says Susan J. Hewlings, Ph.D, RD, CSSD and exercise psychologist. What you’re eating matters just as much as how much of it is going on your plate if you’re planning on burning fat.

Myth: You have to stop eating fat to burn fat.

Fact: “When people cut out all fats, they usually fill in with lots of refined carbs,” says Rob Huizenga, MD. Cut saturated fats and trans fats, but keep healthy monosaturated fats like the ones found in avocados. (Just watch your portions.)

Myth: Eating twice a day is the best way to lose fat.

Fact: “Eating fewer but bigger meals promotes fat storage and zaps your energy,” says Hewlings. Make sure you’re eating every three to four hours to keep your metabolism revved and the weight coming off.

Article from Oxygen Magazine

Every night just as Josh and I sit down to watch some tv. Our dog Charlie always ends up needing something, he goes to Josh and wines and barks at him. It is usually a guessing game to figure out if he needs water, food or go outside. But the fact he goes straight to Josh every time makes Josh crazy. So the other night neither one of us felt like getting up. Josh asked me why Charlie always has to bother him and not me. I had to think quick because I really didn't want to get up. I came up with a good one, I said that Charlie must just realize he is the leader, the Alpha Male. Josh thought about it a minute then got up to take the dog out:) Yeah my plan worked!!! Josh liked that Charlie had a respect or submission toward him. I have always told friends of mine that it takes 3 things to keep your husband happy and content. I truly believe that it can work miracles in a marriage. In no way am I comparing us as wives to dogs!! But it was just proof that men loooove and need respect. God created them this way. Oh yeah so RESPECT is 1 of the three needs men have.

Galations 5:13b-by love serve one another

1 Corinthians 10:31b-whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God

Ephesians 5:21-24-22 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Respect-to view or consider with some degree of reverence, to esteem

This is not an easy task, but it can and should be done. We need to constantly be questioning the way we speak to our husbands, our body language and the attitude of our hearts. It is an everyday challenge. I know there are days I fail miserably. Thank God for forgiveness and a newness everyday.
