I am Back!!!!!! And The Winners Announced!!!!

I know what an awful blogger I am!!  I have been MIA for 2 weeks.  Life just got unbelievably crazy.  School ended, my parents were in town for 5 days, then I left for North Carolina about an hour after my parents left.  I feel like summer vacation hasn't even started.  My list of summer to-do's is growing.

Giveaway Update:  I did do the drawing for the giveaway just as all this craziness started.  We do have 2 winners.

My daughter was the lucky one who got to pick the winners out of the bucket.

The first drawing was for the green photo frame that Sarah won!!!
(I have already sent it out to her)

The second was for the red clutch and Donna won!!
(I have tried contacting Donna without a reply yet.  I will try again If I cannot I will do the drawing for the clutch again)

Last Minute Teacher Gift

I know that some of you are done with school.  But we are not we have 3 more half days left.  I found this great last minute teacher gift idea and knew it would be perfect for me, since it didn't take alot of effort on my part.  Gift bags and baskets filled with goodies is one of the easiest and best gifts for any occasion.  This idea was inspired by Megan at Everything Nice.

I included a magazine, a water bottle filled with 4 crystal light packets, twix bars and salted peanut packets.

I used brown paper gift bag and a printable thank yous that I found here.

Have you checked out my giveaway yet?  No?  Go here and check it out.

Bug Birthday Party!!

Ok so I have been so busy with this birthday party and now I am so excited to show you how it turned out!!  I do have some bad news though:(   My camera batteries died about 20 min into the party.  I did bring extras but they must have been used (even though they were with the new ones) because they lasted like 2 pictures then also died.  My sister-in-law is suppose to send me some of hers but I am too impatient to wait to show you guys.  Maybe I will post again if she has some great pictures to share.

So we did a combined birthday party since their birthdays are 1 week apart.  My son is 7 and my daughter is 4.  I did this last year with two seperate themes one sports theme and a princess theme.  Not this year they are both into bugs so I went with that.  We rented out our churches fellowship hall due to the number of guests.  I usually do parties at home.

You can check out the invitations here.

The dessert table

I found this green jewelry holder and used it to display pictures of the kids over the past year.

The drink station and our dragonfly juice (punch) which was just ginger ale and lime hawaiin punch.

The food table

For the tables I kept it pretty simple.  I used plastic bugs, rocks and moss covered rocks all from the
Dollar Tree

The only picture of the games :(  This is when the second set of batteries bit the dust.
We had 12 kids ages 6-10 and 8 kids ages 3-4.
The older kids played a game called Buggy, Buggy cross my web ( sharks and minnows)
The younger kids made bug antennae headbands all the kids had a bug scavenger hunt with plastic bugs I hid.  Over all everyone had a great time!!

I will be linking up at these parties:
